Commenti

  • Does this include volleyball?

  • Oh, shut up.

  • Him stating a fact that his arm is the same color as the ball is ignorant? Sorry I disagree.

  • what did he say?

  • Max Kellerman spent his time under radio desks... yeah worked... okay.

  • Max u still invited to cookouts ... I actually think the guy has a point

  • Stop trying to clean it up..it is racist..plan and simple...

  • It was stupid AND Racist because all it was meant to do was minimize Lamar Jacksons greatness...his flaws are so limited this moron went into his bag and came out with something racial. "His skin is so dark it camoflauges the ball". 1...No it doesn't. 2. Lamar Jackson isn't he first darkskinned QB so that argument could have been made years ago...but it wasn't because the ball and skin are not identical or even close in matching. 3. Like I said, anything but his talent is being used to excuse/justify just how much better he is at QB than anyone we've ever seen.

    • He also score 13 on the wonderlic score, 13 is lower than the requirement to be a janitor. His IQ is 86.

  • Had Tim had said matching gloves with uniform then it would not be looked at as ignorant comment

  • No one would react like this if it was a white person this world is too soft

  • white guys sez ''cause its the elephant in the room'' it is ???? now what is the reason it is the elephant...cough cough liberal media..cough cough race obsessed white liberal media feeling guilt...cough cough

  • This white boy needs to be fired asap this is a jealous hating white boy he needs to be fired i don't understand Steven Smith won't say that ??

  • stephen A missed this one. the guy made a fair point. it is indeed harder to see. its not a racist issue. its a visual issue. if i use a blue pen and write on blue paper you cannot see it. couldnt disagree with stephen a more....even though i do like him

  • If you are smart You tackle the QB every time because they don't run the single wing anymore .

  • The real reason why a guy like that said that is because what he here from guys like SA an other so it not a surprise to me to here that from White guy

  • The chick is just there. Acting like she’s all offended. Smh, she doesn’t know what’s happening

  • We are in the Trump era, where this type of trickle down racial insensitivity will keep on happening. Brace yourselves for more "shocking" comments in 2020. I feel a suspension is an adequate disciplinary action.

  • Stephen A actually makes sense and is not loud today✊😊

  • How will it look for when Jackson is holding the super bowl trophie up

  • 🍫BOUNTY (Stephen A.)

  • give him a pass because white amerikkka wouldnt ever be or say anything racist

  • This politically correct sideshow is exactly the kind of nonsense that provides cover for the truly insensitive, cruel, racist, homophobic, xenophobic and misogynist comments. It does nothing but water down the definition of bigotry -- which in turn makes it harder to deal with the real thing. Because as soon as you confront people who are truly bigoted, they scream "political correctness" to deflect from their own actions. The fact is he said nothing wrong. He didn't criticize him. He didn't refer to his race in a derogatory way. He didn't say what he was doing was unfair or against the rules. It was perfectly innocent -- and perfectly appropriate -- given the context of the conversation.

  • I hate to say this but it’s kinda true his ability to create handoff illusions are amazing and skin tone is a factor in this .. his shade is perfect for hiding that ball. Now his skin tone is a small factor cause it takes a great deal of total body strength and hand eye coordination to pull off such a great illusion like he does .. but does skin tone help heck yeah it. Helps but it’s not cheating !! We all some sort of shade of brown And there are 1000’s of shades

    • @Neal Bowers I am Asian, I know everything.

    • Chris Nguyen my kind ?? You don’t know my kind

    • great deal of total body strength and hand eye coordination maybe for your kind

  • Stephen A's nose is so brown it's a brownie. This discussion is dishonest. Using the word stupid to soften evil.

  • What’s in the heart comes to the surface.

  • In situations like this, I like to think what would happen if a person of color said it, what would happen. If the ball was light colored and the quarterback had very light skin and an announcer with dark skin said, hey maybe his light skin color helps mask the ball color, I am willing to bet that it would be laughed off as funny. I do agree with the "malice" part though. If it was intended to be racially insensitive or said in a tone that had racial undertone or sounded if it were racist, then it is wrong. I am surprised they didn't play a snippet of the actual statement so that viewers could hear the way he said it, not just the words he said. I do think people of color can get away with saying a lot more than "white" people and if they call the person out they can start a race debate - and, speaking from experience, it is often very unbalanced because of the examples people of color can mention. Maybe one day hundreds of years from now we will be so integrated that there won't be such clear racial categorization and we will be one people. Thanks for reading.

  • Oh, "ex·co·ri·ate." Good word. New one for me. I feel smarter.

  • It wasn't racist...and I'm dark skinned.

  • It came out if his mouth because he do it around his family & friends. AND BY NO MEANS WAS IT A MISTAKE !!!!!!

  • Let’s look at the history of people like Tim Ryan making comments like this and that’s why he should be fired

  • 926 racist and counting

  • I'm a black man, and a pro black man. I believe that black people are to sensitive to the point you can't be straight up on how you feel

  • All I see is a double standard. A man points out an original take which was by no means racist, and the community loses their fucking minds... he never said Lamar jackson is good because of his dark skin color. That would be a stupid and racist comment. He pointed out that the fake might work better because of how the football is dark, his skin is dark and the uniform is black. He said that extra split second hesitation it takes to find the football is too much time and Lamar jackson is athletic enough to exploit it. But this man is fired and may or may not be racist. On the flip side. Gerald McCoy publicly calls cmc the best White RB in nfl history and nobody bats an eye. Rightfully so too because it’s not racist, but could you imagine if rich Eisen called Russell Wilson the best Black QB to play the game?? He’d be fired. It’s a double standard to the fullest extent and it’s fucking annoying.

  • I've heard you make a lot of good points before. But this right here shows that black folks are always trying to look for a reason to to play the race card... when that man was just pointing out the obvious fact tell me how it wouldn't be harder to see a ball that's the color of somebody skin with a black jersey in the background that man just pointed out an obvious fact.

  • Man this is a valid argument BUT is it just me or is Steven A's hairline running from his face or what? 😂

  • Fire that no good peckerwood i can say it bc i don't work for anyone or a network great to be a free black man in this racist system

  • You cannot always say what is in your mind.

  • Stephen A: "Why did that pop into his head when he was calling the game?" ...umm because it was his innocent and accurate observation. Can anyone explain to me how basically describing camouflage is racially insensitive?

  • That white racist needs to be FIRED. As a former player, Ryan knew what he said was a lie. He's just another white racist that's mad that the best QB in the National Football League is Black and ALL of the top young QB's in the league are Black.

  • White baseball pitchers has a white ball in a white hand and sometimes white uniforms. ...does it warrants speaking about it?

  • Sherman said the same thing about not being able to make a read on a play against the Tavens.. Stop treating black people like we need special protection... you guys make black people look like we are helpless

  • This is so stupid. The man just said that the man's skin color is so close to the color of the ball that it's hard to see if he has the ball or handed it off. It's not a racist comment it's just facts. And I am a ravens fan and a black man and can see understand what the man is saying. People stop being so sensitive everything is not racist motivated when a white man speaks on a black man. If i was a white man I would just not say anything about a black man or woman on tv I would just pass it on to the next person because anything i say could cost me my job.

  • Bleh, wokeness. He said nothing wrong.

  • Leviticus chp 13

  • He didn't say nothing wrong too me. Why are we so sensitive now?

  • Straight to the point unless Skip and Shannon

  • Ignorant about what? Dark brown skin and dark brown football. Stop being sooo PC and such a snow flake

  • Max.....Kelllerman....now you know! Not only was his response bullshit but trying to excuse racial insensitivity in problematic. I hope you enjoyed your last cookout!

  • Poor lil black guy still wearing his racist feelings on his shoulders! Forgive and forget! Insensitive is for kindergarten

  • you could stare at the wall you just painted in your house and wait for it to dry and that would still be more worth peoples time than this

  • ESPN is garbage

  • You speak on everything else you don’t have history of Steven just say you don’t wanna go at him because that’s now how you get your attention

  • But when a player says this it’s ok.

  • Let me just say Stephen A Smith really wants to say it was UNACCEPTABLE and the radio analyst should get FIRED but he can't😒

  • He needs to be held responsible there have been black ESPN anchors fired for voicing their opinions.

  • Why is SAS not calling Lamar Jackson "A BAAAAAAAD MAN"...the guy is the best QB in the NFL

  • How come Myles Garrett ain't get dat benefit of da doubt

  • Lol. But he literally has dark skin. It’s like being offended if someone said the sky is dark at night.

  • If you watch Lamar Jackson's fake (and real) hand offs you quickly realize that he is simply better at concealing what is going on than possibly any Quarterback in the game.

  • How is it ignorant to say that wearing a black jersey, having darker skin, with a dark ball makes it hard to see if someone has the ball? It’s the fucking truth lol.
