    • What about thinkcar one from your video a couple days ago.

    • Hey Scotty, what do you think about the new 2020 Corolla, they have a large thump noise at the back when you come to a complete stop. Any idea what that is? Toyota say it’s characteristic as it happens to all but I don’t buy this

    • Scotty I'm pregnant

    • Hey Scotty, is accelerating at higher rpm (4000 to 6000 rpm) occasionally good for the engine?

    • Yet batteries sit on shelf for months not being recharged.. hmm

  • I remember when Toyota was an OK brand

  • There are still brand new manual transmission vehicle offers this day specially in part of asia like my mitsubishi triton GLS manual pick up truck. Is like an old school but powerful truck and reliable.

  • modern cars are ruined because of ignorant EPA environmental virtue-signaling earth worshippers. Avoid aluminum small but highly pressurized turbocharged over-complicated engines trying to be lightweight and still powerful. Avoid GDI gasoline direct induction fuel injection that thins engine oil, clogs intake valves, & avoid crappy CVT transmissions.

  • Me : Are Fiats good cars ? Scotty : their engine and transmission might blow up!

  • Scotty - Now that 'all' cars are off the table, what kind of bicycle do you recommend?

  • Someone from Fiat/Chrysler must have tried to hit on his wife

  • John Lennon is alive!!

  • What's a simple easy to diy repair/maintenance new car to buy.....that is available in the U S?

  • Scotty tends to forget all those Toyota recalls, such as exploding airbags, failing brakes, or the 400k faulty engines that had to be recalled...

  • Toyota has been GM'ified. This happened in 2009-current. That's what happened to Toyota. They've cheapened their fit and finish. The last year for the quality that owners have always been used to was back in 2008. This has nothing to do with the complexity of newer vehicles. It has everything to do with Toyota sourcing quality materials. Honda hasn't sacrificed in this regard. Hopefully they'll never make the same dreadful mistakes that Toyota has made!

  • Wrong. A boat deep cycle battery's purpose isn't to sit unused for a while until you need it. It's purpose is to provide long term power for electronics and trolling motors while in use. Man fix your closet door it's been out of square for years now.

  • Toyota should fire Tetsuya Tada

  • What was that about front end alignment causing issues on a Toyota?

  • What he mean is just that new cars dun last as long as old cars. Esp when they keep putting more and more electrical gadget into them which is alway make of cheap plastics

  • Are paid by Toyota?

  • Nissan 350z was made in 2002, 3 yrs after the Renault "alliance" good luck...

  • Totally agree with you regarding current look of the new Toyota Camry. Wife can't stand the look of the front - JAWS on the highway. My wife is completely satisfied with her original owned 04 V6 Camry with 173 K miles, but me thinks probably need to start looking for a potential replacement as it approaches 200 K miles. Do you have any recommendations from a maintenance reliability view on best year for relatively new Toyota Camry? Prefer to stick with Camry model because of my familiarity with working on the 04 over the years.

  • I have been looking at new cars to replace my 2004 Focus i the engine or transmission dies. I agree with your wife that the new Toyota and Lexus models, while they may be well made, I would not be caught dead on one they look so bad.

  • Yeah, the grill on the new Lexus left me wondering... WTF? But, I've gotten more used to it, and I would just ignore it all the time and enjoy the car! Probably still the best car you can buy!

  • I agree with your wife. The lexus cars are ugly, and anyone else with that big mouth front end.

  • How are the new Honda civics/ Toyota Corollas/ VW Jetta

  • Which one would you pick new Acura or new Lexus?

  • Hey Scotty. How come Toyota doesnt sell their diesel's over here?? I have a cousin in Holland that has a 4Runner diesel suv and he loves it. I'd give my left nut for a Diesel Toyota Tundra...

  • got my g35x at 169,000 still running great at 200,000

  • Talking crapped none stop

  • Let me tell you about recharging batteries by driving.....My parents had a car new which would never restart once they went to the store shopping and they'd have to wait around a long time before it would start. They gave me the car and once I drove about 1 mile in hot weather and it would not restart. I had it towed to my garage which was shut down for vacation. I thought I had seized the engine because there were cooling issues. My online research showed it was not that. Then I checked and found out that when they started making sealed batteries, they reduced the charging in hot weather to keep the fluid from boiling away. Well the geniuses at GM reduced the charging so much that driving the car in warm weather DISCHARGED the battery instead of charging it. It took 31 years to find that out. You might think a car that lasted 35 years was a good car, but the opposite is the truth. Because the Buick was so bad, my parents were afraid to drive it which is the reason it lasted so long. After 35 years, it only had managed to go about 51,000 miles.

  • 2020 corolla? Good? Or bad?

  • in Texas people drive old cars, in the northern states, cars over 15 yrs old are squished into a square cube... just saying....

  • Notice to consumers...if you buy a battery autozone brand, be aware they have made the 2x prongs much thinner than the standard - the rings on my toyota aavalon will not contact ...but autozone has made a shim for an extra ... around $2.75 ...surprise ? ...engineered to make you buy another item at around 558% markup if the cost of goods is say $00.05. Btw just ran on DIEHARD GOLD 8.5 yrs. NOW THATS QUALITY I will buy again. So thing thells me this battery will suck....

  • My 97 Toyota Camry beats all the modern cars today.

  • I am in total agreement on the looks of the new Lexus vehicles...just awful. The BMW X7 seems to want to be in that same club.

  • what’s a better engine swap k20 or h22 for my civic

  • got a 1998 honda cr-v with 240 K miles - runs great and looks brand new --21 years old

  • 00:58 Scotty: "don't buy a Nissan" Me: "has a 2005 sentra 450,000 miles still going down the road".

  • Scotty just gave my vehicle his blessing

  • I have a very rare supercharged Toyota Corolla T Sport Compressor, the fuel cost is ridiculously expensive but I love the car compared to this 2019 Corolla 😎

  • they don't build cars any more. they build overpriced computers on wheels.

  • Thank you!

  • 3:53 best animal-insert to-date

  • Scowly Lexus 😫

  • Scotty, I couldn't agree more about Toyota and Lexus designs. Toyota engineers didn't killed Prius ... Toyota designers did.

  • Everybody says bad things about fiat, probably I do too. But what about those fiat ducato vans? Why do they have such a good reputation? Not just reputation, I've seen some fiat ducato vans with like 30 years old and with a lot of miles in it, and still running. Are they different from the general fiat cars?

  • Honda: "Very well Scotty, we'll send the check in the morning"

  • 5:33-+My thoughts exactly on the new Lexus and Toyota front end designs.

  • Would you buy a 1979 Chrysler Lebaron for $ 2500 it has 75,000 miles on it?

    • If they paid me the $2500, I 'might' take it! ;)

  • Who buys a car these days? Just lease a new one every 3 years

  • Because they don't break down and that's bad for business?

  • Well my car is now 13yo, and has a lot of manual stuff inside, windows/locks/seat adjustments, heavens! And a REAL key. No infotainment. I got it just before all the 'toys' started to be added to EVERY car made. Hey its paid off, looks brand new, has ultra low miles, and costs next to nothing to maintain. Enjoy your auto braking and cameras!

  • has TM figured out that if you can't lick 'em just join 'em?

  • Scotty don’t know that Mazda and Toyota have merged. And the funny part is, Mazda will be making in-line six engines for Toyota for 2020

  • I would want a new Lexus.... I sit inside and drive it, not standing outside looking at it.

  • You like Toyota or Lexus only ! ! !

  • Hello sir scotty, what are your comments about the car we buy here in the philippine the honda civic fd 1.8v 2007 and whats the difference between this and the civic fd 1.8s variance. Is it a good choice for us? And Thank you sir scotty for the knowlegde we learn from you. God bless and more power.

  • 1998 Lexus ls400. 240k miles. Radio/ climate control broken and lots of suspension noise. Would you recommend this old luxury car if I got a good deal?

  • Because they are made in Turkey

  • To each his own but I agree the Lexus grills are hideous looking.

  • 😂 Scotty is trying to be “political correct” saying often that some TOYOTA are garbage 😂, Despite all problems Honda and Toyota are the most reliable car you can buy , not mention power, performance, fuel economy and resale prices !!!

  • This crazy old man has something against everything modern. He thinks he's smarter than engineers when he's just a mechanic.

  • Arguing that for the money Toyotas are a better product than Honda... Yeah I don't know about that. I bought my 2015 Honda exl Odyssey brand new 31.7k. None of this direct-injection crap. 97000 miles... So far I've had a $40 gas cap failure. I fully expect itte-run easily three hundred thousand miles and at that point rust is probably going to take over
