Commenti

  • Color looks odd pink on my I pad!

  • the hardest thing to do is engineer a good product at a low price point. it seems like for many decades the big 3 in america was focused on how to make cheap expensive and the asian car companies were trying to make quality affordable.

  • Looks like the designers started with a Civic Type R and stretched it.

  • First Chevy comes out with the the ZR2 Chevy Colorado, and now the C8 Corvette. My next vehicle will definitely be a Chevy.

  • Oh please! My 97 Corolla with a 3sgte hx35 turbo setup is faster than both $60 and $120k cars

  • Man that automobile is sick!

  • Excellent review....fantastic.👍🇨🇦❤️

  • NO THANK YOU!! but I'll wait for the 2022 model year. Give em some time to get kinks sorted out first.

  • Tadge is just fantastic. A regular cornucopia of engineering knowledge, and also steadily patient with Jay's constant interrupting and lame questions. I actually avoided this video for over a month because I can't stand Jay anymore. But thanks to Tadge and the greatness of the C8 itself, I found myself watching the entire video. Thanks GM, and thanks Mary Barra and Mark Reuss for pushing this one through. I can't wait for my first drive of the new chassis.

  • Didnt even touch the motor though...

  • Just a car people after a few weeks the happiness isn’t the same can’t buy happiness if that was true then why do so many commit suicide only Jesus brings true joy I know I tried to fill my life with things happiness always goes then the need for something else yes it’s a beautiful car but paying 60k for a car is ridiculous

  • I drove it before you Jay LOL

  • Cool car, would be total worth buying after it is worth 5k used in a few years

  • I can't tell if the color of this car is salmon, red or orange.

  • All these amazing makes and marks of super cars and hyper cars are great engineering and design works of art and technology. However the ‘Vette still stands out as the best bang for the buck, while sacrificing nothing. I can actually afford one. Thanks GM...

  • Inspired design and inspired price European clients are waiting with cash in hand to show Ferrari the future

  • wow, I want one period. This is the only American car that I want over Japanese cars. I will get one when I get a chance. Well done. Make America Proud Again.

  • I want to buy one

  • Look at J in the red Corvette ,Yup the red one ,because the black 1 is in Detroit with no wheels lol!!!

  • Tadge is a great rep for Chev

  • In 67 my love affair with the Corvette died with the 68. Then I saw Zora in a mid-engine test mule with eight big pipes pointing at the sky...and I waited for Chev to build it. I'm now 73 and my order has been in since July of 2019. I've been toughing it out with Porsches, a Jag, yatta yatta and most recently two 4c Alfas and a Giulia Quad. I have waited all my life for this Vette and now i learn that it is all i could have wanted. Chevrolet built us a clean sheet car that sits in supercar territory right out of the box! And gone is the plasticky dash and buttons. It sounds great, drives like a track car (if you want) and has tons of room for seat adjustment(didnt expect that). And, if you have never experienced it, the vision of pavement and no bodywork when coupled to the wonderful NON-TURBO ( thanks, Chev, again) is going to knock your sock off! Bose 15 speakers! Auto lift for bumps! pushbutton exhaust! What a magnificent Vette. And the price is wonderful. It is killing me to see them all over the internet. I plan to fill the front with money and get in it and go. That is, if it ever gets here.....

  • Sad attempt of Chevrolet to compete with Ferrari. Ford already did the work back in 60's.

  • "...all of the quirks and features of the 2020 Corvette Stingray...."

  • Is that car drive-by -wire? And if so it should be super easy to make it right or left side drive. Did anyone notice the bit of struggle Jay had getting into the seat. I would have like to have seen him get out of the car.

  • Tadge Juechter - solid guy. Great movie title or pro wrestler name! This dude needs to be out front doing GM commercials...straight shooter with a cool name.

  • How is it they make them in 5 mins but then he's saying they can't keep up with demand.

    • They don't make them in 5 minutes.

  • Tadge like a badge. Badge of honor in this case. Tadge Juechter, brilliant progress and design!

  • My wife told me Chevy put the #1 C8 built on auction for charity. It sold for $3 million.

  • Since this ones going in the crusher shortly why limit it? It's not like they have to worry about long term engine wear. Or they could have at least driven it 500 miles to seat the rings and such before giving it out.

  • The car is ugly and that back wheel well looks super small.. the car just looks uncomfortable and dispreportioned

  • 1.3K people paid too much for their Ferrari.

  • Stealership too far from home and unlike Mercedes, they don't provide service loaners so I'll take a pass on first year model and look again 2021.

  • The rear window is power "up and down". Do you know how cool that would have been in the early 80's before the drunk driving laws got tough? :)

  • This just might have changed my negative opinion of the Corvette. Word of advice to GM. Next time you decide to show Jay the greatest technological advancement in your company’s history, you might want to make sure the RPM restriction is off

  • Suppliers??? Like the 737 Max ☠️ stay tuned🤕

  • what about that C8 thought??

  • Impressive. Saw Jay yesterday driving his 1939 Chrysler Royal that he inherited from Johnny Carson. Pretty cool.

  • American innovation needs to rise up and make a modern V-8. Push rod engines should be in a museum.

    • @Steve Radanovich Factually incorrect.

    • The basic architecture is the same. it-tvs.com/tv/video-tEOLJvG5hQY.html

    • @Steve Radanovich Not true. The engine was designed in the last couple of years.

    • You're entitled to your opinion but I think a 2020 mid engine Corvette should not be powered by a 1955 engine.

    • @Steve Radanovich Your entire comment.

  • Yup no way I can fit a hockey bag in that car or sticks

  • I love the look it’s awesome but the sound is horrific, I wish it could sound more exotic

  • American ingenuity. Very interesting interview. Beautiful looking Vette, still there will never be another Vette as sexy as the Stingrays. They will have to go real retro and I don't see that happening.

  • In case you are wondering this particular package is 100k PLUS. I am too poor to afford.

  • What a great interview! The GM Chief Engineer is such an expert and also a very capable 'explainer'. Bravo, GM!

  • the P38 was the lightning Jay. P51 was the Mustang.

  • If you look closely all the normal cars don't care for the c8 but all the truck drivers are taking photos xD

  • How many times is Jay going to ask/state that it's "governed" after Tadge tells him exactly why it's down on HP?

  • This is the american NSX and it will live on way past its end

  • That guy makes me like the car even more. Much more trustworthy than your regular corporate guy.

  • big but car!

  • I'm amazed and impressed with the base-point price on a car like this. Excellent work Engineer Tadge Juechter, GM! :)

  • Slightly more advanced than my '48!

  • Awesome video very cool got a friend who has a white convertible on order vin #239 same as the 53 vette he has the used to my dads pretty cool

  • I feel like Jay doesn't get certain hints at times. I was waiting for him to close the back window and side ones too, just to get a sound test of how quiet it is. It's not the same as being there but try it. It doesn't hurt to press a couple buttons. Oh well.

  • Would ya just look at it? Jusss look at it. Look at it just look at it

  • Jay keeps ascribing the reduced power to the car being pre-production, and ignoring Tadge telling him it’s a production feature for the first few hundred miles.

  • that's a supercar the same way ghost is a metal band

  • Header leak

  • "P-38 Mustang". LOL... Jay, the P-38 was the "Lightning" which had twin tail booms. The P-51 was the "Mustang". The new C8 is AMAZING! Hoping to have the duckets available to afford the Z06 model with it's flat-plane crank 5.5 liter. Just thinking about a paddle-shifted, 8,500 rpm redline and super-responsive (0-60 mph in 2.8 sec.!!! OH BABY!!!) launch control is giving me palpitations!

  • Lap record at the Green Inferno in Nurburgring in Germany?

  • The fact that chevy entirely did away with fabric tops is awesome.
