    • No. Import your own 1995 Toyota Celica GT-FOUR. It comes from the factory with AWD, a manual gearbox, disk brakes all around, and uses the 3S-GTE engine which is turbocharged to over 230hp. It's won many rallies before it ended up getting caught in a scandal about its turbo restrictor, but it's truly the best car Toyota has ever, or probably will ever, make.

    • U should not because you are cheap on gas

    • Swap it for a factory Celica GT 4 instead - stock turbo &AWD goodness, stunning looks, Toyota reliability and IMO it's a car thats only gonna go up in value, do despite the hefty price tag I doubt you'd lose any money on it.

    • You should build it if you ask me 😂

    • Just swap in the 3sgte - thats what I always wanted to do with my celica!!

  • Never granny shift and always double clutch like you should

  • Ok if anyone is wondering Scotty should have worded the gas mileage fact better. What he could have said is “a smaller turbo charged engine making 300 hp will get better gas mileage than a bigger engine making the same hp”

  • Whatever car am driving I only turn the key and let the computer take care of the startup sequence for throttle and let it idle for a minute or two while I get stuff in the car etc, idle it out the driveway and take off easy, why hammer your car when it's cold that's just idiotic.

  • What about turbo cars in canada ?

  • That Explains why my dad gets 40 MPG and I get 3 MPG when we use my LS3 Firebird with A Texas Speed Cam, LSA Heads, High Ram Air Intake, and a Borg Warner turbo. The more you know

  • Scotty, is it a must to cool down a modern turbocharged car after some hard driving? I'm reading alot of mixed opinions on this. How long if so? And usually I'll do some light driving before I turn her off, is that ok to do?

  • That scubaru meme got me so bad.

  • Many of those things apply to non-turbo engines also. It all comes down to: properly maintain your engine, and drive moderately and it should last a long time.

  • I have a 2016 Jetta TSI 1.4L S model. It has a 5 speed Manual and runs great. I’m glad to say I abide by these rules. Also, I’ve made 46.3 miles per gallon on the interstate and average 33mpg on the back roads.

  • He really threw the SUBARU owners under the bus there at the end lol!!!

  • That "Scubaru" picture made my day😂

  • This guy needs a Delorean to take him back to the 90s.

  • BMW 335i engine 🤧🤧🤧🤧🤧

  • Great video!!

  • I honestly don't understand much about turbochargers but, if the engine is using the air from the engine, and the turbo sents it back to the engine, what air comes out of the exhaust, and how?

  • Didn’t know they got the T5 in U.S XC70’s My dad has a 2002 XC70 T5, it’s a monster🤘🏼

  • next vid don't even drive your car just buy a Bicycle

  • Thanks Scotty for all your good advice 😊

  • How can anyone take an individual seriously when they have a garage that looks like a lot bin from storage wars

  • Can I put a turbo in my truck if it doesn't have one? Are they expensive?

  • Thumbnail: Dont shift your vehicle!!

  • Whats going on with your hands?

  • Ironically enough at 1:37, the speedo/tach in the upper left corner is from a Mazda RX8 - a car that you can safely rev to 4,000+ RPM as it warms up (especially if you premix with 2-stroke oil in the gas) but if you put a turbo on it then the engine will probably explode.

  • So funny this man

  • I've been running 28lbs of boost through a gt28rs for over 50k miles! Lol no smoke, no problems!

  • Peach pits next to the speedometer? That's disgusting..

  • occasionally im lucky enough to drive my dads Saab 9-3 aero, when you start it up it idles high for about a minute before dropping just below 1000 where it normally is. my dad always said let it sit until the idle drops, is this manufactured into the car to help you remember to let it warm up, or why does this happen?

    • MrNFSlover ah, shows how much I know about cars. Thanks!

    • Its normal with petrol engines. When the engine is really cold theres more fuel injected because when you inject the normal amount of fuel the engine won't keep running

  • Scubaru 😂

  • DONT BUY ONE....simple :)

  • ,

  • gotta love this guy. he's on point and pretty funny

  • 2:01 scotty your leaking oil!!!

  • Re: Starting up, I just start my car and then get buckled in and whatever other messing about I have to do. Figure that gives the engine time to get ready, In a truck with an oil pressure gauge my method was wait for that to get a reading. We had a Subaru Outback XT 2.5T and it actually had a light on the temperature gauge that went off when it was warm enough and you could not even put it into "Sport Sharp" mode until that light went out.

  • scotty in my world we call them snails, or choochoo donuts

  • Unless a copper has been driving it. You do a turbo change every year!

  • If you drove your turbo hard on a german Autobahn, please cool it down longer than just 30 seconds :-) Personally I drive the last 2 kilometers before my exit with not more than 120kph, if I floored it before and I know I will turn off the engine soon after the exit e.g. just to get fuel. You can also use the exhaust gas temperature at the catalytic converter as an indicator. I don't turn of the egine, if it's hotter than 650°C. This may vary on other cars, but I noted this temperature for my Mazdaspeed 3 as a kind of "save", because it is also is reached on lower loads.

  • It must be fast, looks like the last owner left his nuts on the dash 🤣

  • Are those peach pits under the gauges?

  • It’s over engineered part get rid of it !! It only makes you car unreliable Instead get a national aspirated engine powerful as you need.
