  • "Take a giant leap for mankind. On a distant lunar sea. As you travel across the universe, will you take a step, take a step for me? Will you take a step for me? Voyage of an Eagle. Blasting to the stars. You take the hopes of dreams of men. To find yourself, to find Tranquility. To find Tranquility! Traveled across the universe, and placed the lonely flag. Out there in isolation at the final, the final frontier. The final frontier! The world's in celebration as we wait for your return. You took a Giant Leap for mankind on another, on another world. On another world! Take it easy, take it slow. Don't go fast, don't let go! The Eagle has landed! The Eagle has landed! The Eagle has landed! The Eagle has landed!" Saxon - The Eagle has Landed.

    • Damn i had chills reading that

    • @Michael Hill So when someone thanks God, you are so arrogant that you mock them? Are you certain that God doesn't exist???

    • Someone brought up religion.

    • @Michael Hill Why did you mention a sky fairy?

    • WHAT?

  • Nice rare video of the successful rocket that was able to carry humans to the moon!

  • Watching this on Dec 10, 2019, with tears in my eyes. God, what a machine!

  • 35:42 oh god...

  • Moons Eat Stars - Absolution Without Salvation Try timing the lift off with this song.

  • I remember the day Apollo 11 Saturn V launch, it's like 50 years ago.

  • you came for 35:15

  • Who can be so stupid fool,....... to set negative advise on such video ??? Can someone here explain the 248 negatives. I have see it in real time 50 years ago. I asked my grand father : Where they are going to ? He answered me : I will show you this evening. All the efternoon, I asked him show me, show me. Then when the moon was visible in Belgium. He showed me. I could not believe. But... it was. The 248 negative, go back to your stupidity, stay at age of ape and try to evoluate....

  • the eeuu flag just look awesome on this machine.

  • I waaaant to bee an astrooonaauut

  • а почему запись прерывается походу она проста упала в океан.

  • A firework display, nothing more. Look at the rocket coming back down, dig up stupid.

  • It goes up and up and up and up and then...... starts to decline where the filming ends. Shame because I was waiting for the bit where it just pops out of earths atmosphere of gas into the great vacuum of space and all the way to the moon which is where Mr Kubrick takes over.

  • 35:19 with count down Save time

  • To ride upon the fury Aloft on golden wings To touch the outer limits In search of greater things These dreams they carried with them Must continue to survive The ideals and aspirations Toward which all of us should strive Cry not for those who left us Don't ask god why they died Just remember they had ambition And as Americans they tried

  • Were the astronauts already in the rocket as it was being moved to the launch site? My other question is: if they were on a curved trajectory to get to space and orbit before heading to the moon why were they saying velocity rather than speed?

    • No, they boarded within a couple hours of the launch, long after the crawler had rolled the rocket out to the launch pad.

  • Majestic and unforgettable.

  • I guess we all have our favorite missions. Mine has always been Gemini IV and Apollo 8. I still have the newspaper from Apollo 8. It's rather tattered but in pretty good shape. 90% of the entire manned space flight objective was GETTING to the moon. How can we get there? That is why Apollo 8 has always been more meaningful to me. When Apollo 11 rolled around, I thought, hey, we have already been there...twice. But 8 was the first.

  • Американцы не были на Луне. LOL.

  • German engineering. Can't beat it.

  • Еле взлетела

  • someday soon it-tvs.com/tv/video-fH_Ze5fYwxI.html

  • 35:45 How the fuck can you report so calm like that while you are riding a missle? Man had balls of titanium I guess.

    • That's test pilots for you! Before riding Apollo, Neil has also rode X-15 (pretty much a hypersonic missile with a cockpit for pilot instead of warhead) and Gemini (and managed to salvage disastrous Gemini-8, allowing for the safe return to Earth).

  • Very annoying voice

    • Ooh, them's fightin' words son.

  • glad we nabbed von braun before the russkies did

    • Goddard would have done it anyway, perhaps a year or two later.

  • I can't believe everyone fell for this hoax. That rocket (just like every other rocket or shuttle ever launched from earth, with human life on it ) never left low earth orbit.

    • @BrushyMtnGolfer So, what about any of that is proof that they didn't go to the moon? Read about how much radiation will kill you: blogs.agu.org/wildwildscience/2009/09/01/how-much-radiation-does-it-take-to-kill-you/ Read about how much radiation the astronauts received on the missions (page 7 of the PDF): www.hq.nasa.gov/alsj/tnD7080RadProtect.pdf Read about the effects the astronauts described while on missions: www.universetoday.com/94714/seeing-cosmic-rays-in-space/ Read about the long term effects the astronauts experience from radiation: observer.com/2016/07/space-radiation-devastated-the-lives-of-apollo-astronauts/ Now tell me what is inconsistent about any of this? I'm not interested in your opinion. Your opinion will never trump the facts, and all the fact point to you being wrong.

    • @Kyle Laurent www.reuters.com/article/us-space-radiation-idUSN3139657820080401

    • @BrushyMtnGolfer again, I ask, do you have any evidence that it didn't happen? Just because there were only 9 manned missions to the moon in the past and not again is not really evidence.

    • Kyle Laurent You are the one making the baseless assumption by saying Apollo left Low Earth Orbit while no other manned mission has ever come within 600 miles of the radiation belts without being overwhelmed

    • Got any evidence , or just your baseless assumption?

  • Still the most powerful machine man has ever built. The scientific name for this is "hauling ass".

  • And then nothing but silence and war for 60 years.

  • this video is a bunch of bull shit propaganda by nasa and its contracted civilians. Apollo man moon landing never ever ever happened. All lies, fake photography and bull shit actors. By the way just to show you the immediate mistake someone is making here they dont even have historical dates listed correctly. Apollo 11 or 7 or whatever the hell you want to call it never happened in July 1969: you idiots- that date belonged to the first lying mission to the moon. That was labeled as Apollo1 = good bye nasa.

    • Another cunt shmuck that Earth's burden to be ridden of like cockroach.

    • What the fuck are you even talking about?

    • "This is Apollo *Saturn* launch control." Not seven. And you're an idiot.

  • I wish I had been alive to see this, wasn’t born yet. The only cool thing I got to see was the space shuttle coming in for landing at night. It was crossing over the sky here in Texas when I was about 10. It glowed orange and left a seemingly never ending trail from falling through our atmosphere.

  • Great history.

  • Why do you damned people put the next two videos up on the screen before we are even finished watching this damned video? For crying out frigging loud!!! Quit covering up the damned end of the video we are on!!! IDIOTS!!! I can't stand this nitwit millennial world in which we live: not respect, no decency, no brains, and no order. Anything goes these days, and it will be the DEATH of us. I will celebrate the day the last filthy baby boomer dies and the last filthy millennial dies. I will go piss on both of their filthy graves.

    • @Raw Space Thanks! You're the best.

    • I thought I had removed that end screen. Sorry. I'm no millennial. This video was uploaded before I started using outro sequences, specifically for the purpose of preventing end screens from interfering with the video.
