  • please, please, please do a video about how to draw a basic body and face of a person plzzz

  • Mmm booutiful

  • Your drawing is super cute and I really wanna draw something like it. Can I do a β€œdraw this in your art style”?

  • This video is still relevant in 2019 πŸ˜‚ I just set the goal for this year to draw / paint one finished piece a month πŸ™ˆ doing good for now!

  • Everytime I see hands I freak out lol. I am spending this entire month 35 hours a week solely on HANDS

  • I just want to improve in drawing men xD plz

  • Been getting sorta stuck and intimidated lately so your tips are so helpful! Gonna try these short challenges. And, as always, your work is gorgeous!

  • Love this video!!!! Thumbs up for sure and a new sub!!!! I completely agree. I don't like to try new things and step out of my comfort zone. This video definitely helped me ^^

    • @Chelsea Gracei Thanksss! πŸ’™πŸ’™you sure do!!😊

    • Yay! Welcome to the family πŸ’œπŸ’œ soo glad it helped!! I really gotta do another watercolor video soon πŸ™ˆ

  • You need more subscribers

  • At first when I saw the title I thought you were doing a challenge where you use mini art supplies...

  • I think you have a great understanding of shadows. Really nice work.

  • Some really big tip is maybe to use a small paper towel to add like a fade affect your piece just a gently touch to the area to help it look more distributed, also just a tip try to use different type of shading. For example when you add your main color down go and let it dry then add colors such as blue or purple to add more debt into your shading. Try it you might like the result Btw I really adore your art style is really cute yet very stylish πŸ‘ŒπŸ»βœ¨

  • Hi Loved the video. Do you usually set your self a certain number of paintings or practice sessions for your mini challenges or do you do it over x number of days?

  • Your voice is so soothing :)

    • Haha well thanks xD πŸ™ƒπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

  • what so you film with?

    • This video was filmed on my phone (iPhone 6 Plus) but I recently upgraded to a Cannon EOS Rebel SL2 xD

  • This is great, I used to do this kind of challenge for myself in which I would draw five things in five minutes, no erasing. Sometimes I would take less than five minutes, or more than five minutes, but not more than seven. I did it to beat my creative block and also to stop worrying so much about trying to make everything look perfect. It helped me a lot, and I realised at the end that I actually liked those drawings, haha β™‘

  • Im in love with your style! Very cute and aesthetic πŸ’œπŸ’œ

  • I love the idea of mini challenges! I challenged myself to draw a face everyday for 100 days and I’ve learnt a lot, but with 20 days to go...I am desperate to draw something else. Keep up the awesome work, I love your art!

    • Omg 100 days! That's crazy! But ahhh you're SO close! Cheering you on - you got this!!! πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

  • Lovely !! πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™ I've set challenges and such, but I always set the bar too high (definitely need to work on that πŸ˜…) this year's challenge so far has gone well, and it hasn't been overwhelming. I do however really love your week challenge, and I definitely think I'll try it. I struggle a lot with realism and I would like to get better at it even though anime/ manga and cartoony things are more my style. I've enjoyed watching you do this challenge and can't wait to see what you come up with next !

    • Chelsea Gracei Haha I'm gonna try it πŸ’ͺ lol I'll probably start out with hands, feet, eyes etc first then move on to actually trying to draw the faces πŸ’™

    • Ah I'm definitely guilty of taking off more than I can chew as well and getting discouraged πŸ˜… I think a realism challenge is a great idea! I think it's great to try things outside your art style. Even if you don't want to draw that way ultimately you can learn a lot that does translate back to cartoony stuff! Let me know if you decide to give it a go! πŸ’œπŸ’œ

  • Loved your tips! I gonna try this year, starting from zero. I was surprised to discover that the girl is a brazilian like me. Loved her photos and your watercolor work. It's so delicated. Waiting more videos ;) xoxo

    • Thanks so much! wishing you the best! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

  • I agree with what you say. Starting really is the hardest part. Your small challenges are great. I have done longer challenges like Inktober before, which pretty much burned me out last year. Thanks for sharing your insights.

    • Same! I did Inktober last year and while I enjoyed it, it really burned me out and I didn't draw much at all in November or December πŸ˜…πŸ˜…

  • 😍 Love the watercolors! You’re great with them. I’ve been doing mini challenges to get myself to study the things I’m bad lately and it’s made a huge difference. Good advice!

    • Thank you so much! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

  • I totally get what you say about getting tired or giving up on long challenges, as much as I love inktober it gets so tiring by the end of the challenge! I've been loving your outfit series, it seriously looks like you have a lot of control over watercolour! I highly recomend you trying wet on wet techniques and let the watercolour flow, it can be intimidating at first but it helps you get much more confident with the colours and controling the water. Also remember you can easily "erase" or wear down the colours by adding a lot of water and tap the zone with a paper towel or a dry brush (just in case you didn't knew about that tecnique)

    • I know it seems so scary but it's actually lot of fun when you try it! Happy to help, I always like to give that tip because not everyone knows about it and it's so helpfull :)

    • Yeah I was SO over Inktober by the last week or so πŸ˜‚ And thanks I'll definitely try that. I've seen some artists do it but ahh I've been to scared to try it myself! And I'll be honest I didn't know that you can "erase" like that (See, haha total noob here πŸ€“πŸ˜…)

  • Mini challenges is a good idea, I have a bad habit of patching myself out to make finished pieces to the point of just not starting anything ^-^; I really like how you painted the skirt folds! As for advice, I’m not so great at watercolor, but I think you could benefit from using masking fluid. That way you don’t have to spend so much time painting around little details like the leaves and fingers

    • Ahh I know that feeling. Big "serious" pieces can be so intimidating. And thanks for the tips! I will definitely try out masking fluid! I've seen people do really cool things with it to create negative space and stuff! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

  • My favourite thing in the world is when you do go out side your comfort zone a learn something new. And then go back and see things that were originally in your comfort zone get better with your new information. Hopefully someone understood that and can relate lol

    • I can TOTALLY relate! Like I feel like playing with watercolor is going to make a difference on how I use my markers in like layering colors and stuff πŸ™ƒ

  • Great advice! Going to make new small learning goals today! Thanks! ❀️

    • Woo! Let me know how it goes! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

  • You seem to have a perfect podcast voice, it's so calming to listen to! Loved this drawing, the pose + the leaves are like perfect :D

    • Haha you know it's funny I've always hated the sound of my voice πŸ˜‚ but I'm glad you like it. Thank you! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

  • I might need to do more mini-challenge, though more to finish more artwork. I just finished my first full illustration with a background of the year yesterday. Digital fanart, but it showed me how much I improved and what I need to improve on. Ah, for water media, I recommend practicing with value scales. You got the jest of it, but some of your values all together is a bit close in tints and shades. Thankfully, you chose colors that don't cause the piece to fall flat or muddy, but it is a common pitfall for beginners to not push their values to get contrast, which would help with the shadows of the face. Heck, I am still fighting that though doesn't help I use gansai more than watercolor. You gotta be patient with that stuff due to the color shifts. Also take care of your brushes. If you loose the point, you can use soap to reform a point and let that soap harden till you need to use the brush again. This helps keep a point and protect it if you don't plan on reusing the brush for a bit.

    • Ahh THANK YOU so much for the tips! I can totally see what you're saying about the value thing. I was def noticing it myself, especially in my first couple watercolor attempts. I think I was afraid of things getting too muddy like you said. But I'll work to try to push the contrast more the more I practice! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

  • This was such a comforting video

    • Aww yay I'm so happy you liked it! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

  • YESS a new video I'm so excited πŸ˜„πŸ˜„ it's thefancifulmoonbeam from IG btw, this is just IT-tvs phone account XDD But this just made my morning seeing a video from you 😍😍😍 And seeing the process of this beautiful piece is inspiring πŸŒ»β€πŸ’™

    • Hi! πŸ‘‹ And awww thank you so much for watching! I'm glad you enjoyed it! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

  • Π’Π°ΠΊ красивоооооооо 😍

  • New to watercolor.....you sure? πŸ˜‰

    • Chelsea Gracei Hmmm yeah sure lol. India ink is like watercolors much more intense cousin. I usually use India ink for line work and color with watercolor. I suck at laying with watercolors. I just use it flat...working on changing that.

    • Haha yep. Total noob here. But I've used india ink and ink washes so that's sorta? kinda similar? Idk lol πŸ™ƒ

  • Beautiful picture! β™₯οΈπŸ”
